SparkScribe

Flashcards

Flashcards from your own lectures, reviewed at the right time.

SparkScribe writes flashcards from what your teacher actually said. After each answer you say how well you knew it, and the card comes back when you’re about to forget it.

Free plan: 30 minutes of transcription a month, no card needed. Your audio stays on your device.

How it works

  1. Transcribe the lectureUpload the recording; it’s transcribed on your device and saved to your library.
  2. Create flashcardsChoose how many and how deep, then SparkScribe writes cards from the transcript, with an explanation where it helps.
  3. Review what’s dueRate each card: Didn’t know, Knew it or Easy. Your home page shows the cards that are due.

What you get

Grounded in the lecture

Each card links to the moment it was explained, so you can hear it again in context.

Spaced review

Cards you didn’t know come back the same day; the ones you know come back after 1, 3, 7, 16, 35 and 80 days as you keep getting them right.

No streaks, no nagging

Nothing is due until you’ve rated a card, and there are no streaks or reminders to keep up with.

Practice quizzes too

Turn the same lecture into a practice quiz, then retake just the questions you missed.

Questions

How is the review schedule decided?

From your own ratings: “Didn’t know” brings a card back the same day; “Knew it” and “Easy” push it further out each time (1, 3, 7, 16, 35, then 80 days).

Can the cards be wrong?

Yes, AI can make mistakes and transcripts can mishear words. Each card links to where it was explained so you can check.

Do flashcards use my transcription time?

No. Your plan’s monthly time counts only the recordings you transcribe; creating and reviewing flashcards doesn’t use it.
